I am Sasi Kumar, a customer of Prepaid mobile connection with. My no. is 9995311681 and have been using the same for more than 4 yrs. On 19 May 10, i noticed that my mobile had stopped getting connected to the service showing 'No Network Coverage'. I then swithced off the mobile and reset my connection by extracting the SIM once from its slot, reinserting it and switching on my mobile again. The network connectivity was still absent and a message read ' SIM registration not completed'. I then contacted the local Airtel Office for rectification. What i got to know from them was that the exact reason for the disconnection is not known to them and that the same has happened from 13 May 10 whereas the connection was alive with usage of calls as well as sms facitlity till 18 May 10. I addition, i was adviced by the staff at the local office that i may need to apply for a fresh SIM on the same no. A fresh copy of photo and id proof was also collected by the local office for issuing me with a fresh SIM. But it was also opined that the same would take some time and would not be immediate. Moreover, it is important to mention that about Rs 200 worth of charge was available as balance/credit with the previous SIM. I would like to bring out the fact that no prior intimation of disconnection of the service was sent to me for taking any corrective action. I am writing this mail/complaint to redress my grievance and early corrective action.
