I have been in possession of the Airtel number 9975059789 for more than 3.5 years now.
Recently I have been out of Maharashtra state for 4-5 months and have not been making calls using this number. This airtel number had been recharged by me with a validity till end of December. When in November i switched on this number I was getting incoming messages. Yet when I landed in Mumbai yesterday 5th December I haven't been able to use this number nor been able to contact the customer care.
today on contacting the local relationship centre I was informed that the number has been deleted.
My questions:
1) When i had recharged my number with a validity till late December HOW can Airtel delete the number.
2) the customer relationship assistant says that i have to recharge or make a call once every month. i want to ask that why should I be subjected to these restrictions.
Solution I expect from Airtel:
I expect to get my number back at the earliest.
