I and my wife travelled in Heera Himachal Volvo Bus (Rana Motors) from katra to Delhi on 7-06-12. The bus took off very late, much after time. The AC, which was supposed to be working for the whole journey, worked only for 2 hrs initially and we had to travel the entire journey in suffocation. There was another family travelling with us who had, unfortunately, booked in the same bus for Delhi to Katra. they had told us that the condition of the bus which took them to Katra from Delhi was also just the same and they had fought a lot with the operators and the operators had promised to repair the AC and give them better service in their return journey but to no avail! many of the passengers were vomiting baceause of suffocation and the kids were continuously crying.
I believe that switching off the AC after the bus travels a bit is a common practice of this operator in order to save the running cost.
Overall, it was a horrible experience and I hope no one else goes through this trauma again.
We have pledged never to take their service ever again.
