I booked a house boat in Alleyppey (Allapuza) with Munnar Tour and Holidays company for 6thSeptember. As a advance I payed Rs2000 to the company. I was to travel to Munnar from Alleyppey on 7thSep morning. Due to All India Trade Union strike on 7th September I was told I will not be able to enter Munnar on 7thSep. So I decided to go directly to Munnar on 6th and postponed the houseboat booking to 14thSep. We were charged Rs500 for the cancellation which we agreed to pay.
On 13thSep we came to know that there will be another strike on 14th Sep. We called Mrs. Anju (Customer Care Executive of Munnar Tour and Holidays) on 13thSep to tell her that there could be another strike on 14thSep. She assured us that if due to some problem we are not able to make it Rs1500 will be refunded. We called Mrs. Anju also on 13th Sep to tell her that we will not be coming but she was not there and we were told that she will call us back. But she never did. We left the message also that she should give us a call. As strike was confirmed for 14thSep we extended the stay in Munnar. Only next day morning we came to know that strike has been called off. If at the last moment strike was called off its not our fault.
We request for the refund of Rs1500. Thanks
