Cinema Paradiso
No-refund of Security Deposit, Breach of promise

Dear Sir,

Cinema Paradiso, a DVD rental in Kolkata, then operating from 33B Rowland Road, Kolkata-700020, suddenly shut shop vide their letter to members dated 13.4.09. I surrendered my membership card along with a letter requesting refund of Security deposit of Rs. - .

Cinema Paradiso promised to refund the amount after deducting Rs.100/-, for reasons unspecified.

However even after 8 months they have not done so... what adds insult to injury is the cavalier way they have treated their previous members, by refusing to answer the phone (at their Chennai office), by pretending not to understand English (how the hell are you running a ' modern' DVD rental stocking World Cinema, the newest Hollywood films by employing mentally-challenged dorks),

by keeping people waiting on long-distance calls, by wasting our time...& worst of all, by making no gesture of apology.

I am sure there are several angry people all over Kolkata, who demand justice.
