My Airtel DTH subscription id is : 3003489024 which was activated on 21st March for Ultra pack. At the time of receiving the package details, I was verbally as well as over email confirmed about a goodie bag free when I subscribe for this annual package on 15th March. I paid for the same on 16th March online. Till date I have not received the goodie bag as promised. When I sent an email, i received a response on 29.03.2010 from Shail Shekhar Jha that I will receive a call shortly from their concerned department, which has not yet come. I called today, 16.4.2010 to their call centre. The phone was disconnected twice by a lady called Diana. The third time, when the call was ultimately received by another CRE Rekha (thats the name she disclosed when I demanded that I make a note of her name), she was extremely rude and informed that the offer was valid only for January and February. When I tried to explain to her that I received the committment on 15th March how could she now say that the offer was till February. Further, she refused to escalate the call to her team leader and while I was still speaking on this issue, she kept saying "Thank you for calling" and willingly disconnected the call.
I tried to call the nodal officer of Airtel as mentioned in their website - Andhra Pradesh Priendu Narayan Chakraverty 040-40024449, but the number constantly came busy. To my surprise, when I tried most of the other numbers of various nodal officers of Airtel in the country, the mobile numbers mentioned - eg: Arunachal Pradesh Biddyut Bikash Goswami 9612402426, Bihar Rana Biswas 9771472070 do not exist when dialled.
I wish to pre warn all unsuspecting and prospective DTH customers to rethink before selecting Airtel DTH so that you dont face the same trouble and insults that I am currently being faced with despite being their customer for a very long time for Official CUG services of their mobile phone.
