I had made an enquiry for buying the Digital TV from Airtel on March 18 from the Airtel website. Within a span of 1 hr, I received a call from Mr. Ajay Kumar of Vriti Infocom, with details on how to make this purchase online. He sent me a mail with all the details. I was told over the phone that the connection would be given on 19th March if the Payment was done the same day.
I made the payment online via Bank Transfer from ICICI the same day and sent him the form reference number for processing the payment within 15 minutes.
Till date I’ve not received my digital TV connection. I’ve called the airtel customer service 10-11 times, each time with a different response catalogued below:
1) The payment has not yet been made.
2) The connection is suspended because of negative balance
3) The connection will be given in 24-48 hrs (This was said 72 hrs ago)
4) You’ll receive a call in 3 hrs from marketing. (2 days ago)
5) I’ve requested a call back from my supervisor to address this issue.7) …
Even vriti infocom is conviniently out of reach, now that the dirty work is over.
Are these the set of standard hurdles one has to go through when buying the digital TV connection online??!! I’m frankly fed up of the service offered even before using the service.
