I paid Rs.1590 towards new Airtel Digital TV Installation on the web site of Airtel on 17.03.2011 vide Transaction Number 807533. The money was instantly billed to my credit card. The company helpline advised that the installation would be done within 48 hours. In fact they even told me that this was the fastest way of installation as manual pick up of cash would waste another day in money collection. Thereafter, nobody from Airtel called up or came for installation. I called up the helpline at least five times and everytime was given a different timeline for installation including old worn out phrases like " Your complaint has been escalated to our service team, seniors or maybe even God Almighty! ". Even emails to the customer support has failed to evoke any response.

I regret my decision to go for Airtel in spite of so much negative publicity on various consumer forums. Perhaps my decision was biased as I already have two Airtel TV connections and thought that iy would be in order to be a little brand loyal.
