I used Airtel Digital TV (ADTV) from march and i was quite satisfied with the service and i decided to upgrade to HD DVR by july. I paid through online and the product was installed on 4th july.
After 1 week the picture got shaking in some channels like Discovery, TLC, Jaya Max etc. then i called the distributor who installed the STB and he said the person who replaced the LNB may not fixed correctly. He sent that same person and he said the position of the dish is changed and i need to pay for the visit. But actual problem was with LNB which he didnt fixed in right position. I argued with the distributor and finally paid Rs. 100/-. From 13th august most of the channels went off and shows No Signal B001 error. I again called the distributor and explained the problem and told to send any other person. He promised to send a guy on 16th as 14 and 15 were holiday, but no response from him. Then i called CC and complained the problem they sent request number by SMS and after 1 day i will again receive an SMS as issue resolved. But there was no calls from distributor or service person. I asked to take back the product and refund the money on 21.08. today i received a call from CC and they again told the issue will be attended today. I recorded all the calls made to CC and distributor so i am thinking of to go to consumer court. If no steps are taken against them these people will make us fool.
So friends think before going to buy airtel.
