I am just posting all the mails that went back and forth between me and Airtel.

I' ve been a very satisfied customer of two Airtel mobile numbers for last 12 years. That prompted me to go for their 1590*- offer for digital TV. Approached a Dealer despite his concerned advise to take up TATA sky, I went in for the service confident that the service would be reliable. Opted for english & lifestlye top up in addition to the new value pack, paid in cash... purchased the STB on 25/9- installed on 27.9.2010
It has one year warranty and 6 months service warranty.
On 27-Oct all of sudden without any reason the my top up channels were discontinued
On trying to lodge a complaint to Airtel Digital call centre- they refused to stating that I had a balance RS -77/-- Despite having recharged for 2 months additional channels. They refused to accomodate me & refused to register a complaint not once but 3 calls were made by me in a span of 3 hours on 27/10. Irrresponsible and arrogant behaviour of Customer Center, made me respond equally rudely.hwereon I was told to act like a customer - well I did as a highly harrased by them for no mistake on my part
The local service centre was not responding to calls I had to finally call the dealer to make sure I could get them to rgister a complaint on 28/10.
Finally 2 tech. arrived & disturbed the rest of the channels - & stated that the STB was deffective - such was not the case - one of the chaps fell & disturbed the dish & could not set it right after struggling for 2 hours on 29-10. I had again contacted the dealer & then manged to find out that the tech. were untrained chaps . tranmission resumed but not clear
Even after that I registered 4 complaints - none were attended
The call centre asks me to part with a satisfaction code - that is all they & the service chaps are interested not in setting the service
I have even written 2 complaints vide their website but to no avail - only we will set it right
Today was the final straw with a very callous attitude of the call centre personnel - Mr Bharat - who only stated policies & said he will puyt in a request for cancellation of service & refund me a pittance amount of Rs 29 that is the balance of the top up cjannels - does this mean that They are being magnanimous to let me keep the STB & Dish which I can keep as reminder of of a trophy of bad choice -that is what I got to iunderstand
Please help me get my money refunded from this company. The quality of their picture is also of inferior quality as compared to... TATA sky- I have gone in for their service & Am immensly happy with the it
I once again request you to hlp me get me arefund of the amount Rs 1590- I n have not had a single days pleasure with installing their STB - even my old cable service wa s better than this
