Worst service, false promise and no escalation matrix

Airtel has one of the worst customer service ever. I called airtel customer service on 8th Dec for add-on connection (HD-Recorder) and was promised that installation will be done the next evening (9th Dec). Only on the commitment that it will be done on the next day did I go ahead with the payment via credit card. I waited till 6p next day before calling airtel for status update as i did not hear back from airtel nor anyone came for installation. On providing customer details and ref number (17893312), I was told that they do not have set top box in stock and it will take longer and how longer no one has any freaking idea. Well on the contrary, when I was placing the order, they never told me abt the shortage in stock but kept promising on installation the very next day itself. The worst part however is, they don't even have a single responsible person/engineer who can speak english, who is willing to sort out the issue nor who is willing to help. When I asked to put someone responsible enough to make decision on the call, I was put on a long hold which hung up after 15 minutes. I called again and had the same @#$#$% experience. I am totally pissed with airtel service and again this not the first time, I am always promised that they will improve service next time, but it is always getting worst and not any better.
