Hi,

I have purchased Air-tel d th south-ultra pack few days pack. From then on hell broke loose. First the guy who fixed the dish told that it would take 24hrs for every thing to set and he will come afterwards to come and check whether everything is all right. Things didn't settle and he didn't come.40-50 channels where either not coming or braking off due to signal problem. Next, the top-ups which I requested weren't coming. And finally I get a message that my account is in negative even after paying in full. The package cost is Rs4290 on the net on the official Air-tel website, it was sold to me for retail price of Rs 4550, which is clearly evident on the big hording, on the air-tel d th vouchers and retail guys selling at that price.

Called the call center guy, They tell me that I have to recharge again or my connection will be disconnected as the info given to them says it is for Rs4950. Imagine the frustration of being told that, when there own website, hording, voucher and the retail guy say one thing and after buying and paying for a whole year. You are being told to chuck in more money or you will be cut-off.

After 20 heck tick phone calls of giving details and explaining everything repeatedly to different people. And after registering couple of complains (got a message that the problem is solved while my connection was cut the same day) and asking couple of times to talk to there senior. I finally got to speak to their senior today. Only after I sat down from 5:00 in the evening continually calling them, speaking to different guys requesting to speak to their senior. Finally got to speak to their senior at 9:00 in the night. ' 4 hours of repeated phone calls and requests' to just talk to a senior. Will any guy buying a TV connection want to go through this. And one week of continue phone calls and a 4hr continue session, think you can get work done even in govt office in the good old days.

And you know what the funny part is. The problem is not yet solved, I only got a promise from the senior that it account balance problem would be resolved on '24hrs' (like his juniors repeated promises earlier). Only after which I had to register a separate complain each for signal quality and the missing channels.

So anyone buying an air-tel d th has to be ready for a long test match. Wait!!! did I say test match, that is only for max of six days. This is indefinitely longer, tougher, requires immense patience and you might hit the jack-pot couple of times of rude call-center guys.
