I had recharged my account ID 3001099961 on 22 Jan 10 for 10 months MEGA pack as the firm was offering additional 02 months viewing free of cost. Therefore the validity of my account should be 12 months w.e.f. 22 Jan 10 upto 21 Jan 11.. However, I have been receiving messages since last one week asking me to recharge my account which implies that I have only been given 10months validity. On contacting Airtel Tollfree No. 18001028080 early this week, the customer care officer confirmed that my account was recharged for 10 months but the validity is not 12 months which was in contravention of the scheme offered by the firm in Jan 10. The customer care told me that it is my mistake as it was my duty to call them up after recharging within 45minutes if I wanted to be eligible. I was not told about this while recharging. Even otherwise this type of system is harassing and uncalled for. It is the duty of the firm to automatically update the validity when a 10 month recharge, which the firm is aware, has been done by the customer. A clear case of cheating/harassing.
