I have a prepaid mobile no. 9650366846. One day my daughter carrying mobile found that there was no available balance left and she was not in a position to talk at home, when in need. However as per our knowledge sufficient amount was available.
We contacted Airtel customercare-121. We were informed that Metrimonial service has been activated on the mobile on 15.03.2010. It was also confirmed that service has been activated without our request and was deactivated that day when the matter was taken up. It was promissed that amount debited will be refunded by 05.04.2010. The activation of service was not in our knowledge and was never used by us.
Again when matter related to refund was taken up with customer care executive, he refused to refund the amount so deducted.
Such a debit of account balance by unilaterally activating value added servise is a breach of trust conferred upon service provider. My daughter has to suffer a lot of problem on that day due to deactivation of the service.
Can Airtel has a curtsey to refund the amount wrongly debited and pay a compensation for the agony faced by my daughter.
