Bank Account activation

Hi,

I had opned my account in 2005 with HSBC when I was working with HP, due to some reason I was not using HSBC saving account for long time. But due to some reason (IDBI FLEXI Bonds cheques came on same account number) additional with some other purpose, I have to activate the account.

So on 13 september I personally visited HSBC MG RoAD (BANGALORE) branch and completed all the formality, Met Paresh Barve the concern person to ACTIVATE the account. During that time this fellow explained so many other bonds and schemes.

Almost from big Q... 11PM to 2 PM I was in Bank.

I asked Customer care for the status of the account on 29 septmeber 03 October. once again... the status is "the database has not been updated for any information.

and the CC person suggesting me to RE-visit the BANK agian for further things.

1. Why it is taking long time "Activate" account.

2. what is use of this phone banking, internet banking... If again and again making rounds to bank.
