I had a loan account with UTI bank account with UTI bank: the terms and conditions (being a corporate) were that I have to pay interest for 3 months and I can return the complete amount in 3 months if I want. But when I returned the amount through a cheque, it was returned after 25 days saying it was an out station cheque. I was not at all informed by the bank at any time about that. I came to know about this scenario only when I visited the bank thrice. Then I paid a at par cheque, for the complete amount and that 25 days period, which was debited from my account but still then are putting up the cheque t hat I have given as pdc's.I.e. After the whole payment still they are putting up the pdc's. The manager Mr. Gaurav Malik at UTI bank loans section at asaf sarai road Delhi, says very casually we here to get interest from the customers and it is the duty of the customer to get the account closed. But he could not answer that after giving the whole payment and an application as told by bank executive who will close the account??? It is the bank that has to return all the documents.
This is the mentality of the officers who we meet at the bank desk. This just increases the frustration and obscenity. BANKING WITH UTI BANK??? Risk.
