Re: Dining Plus card
I would like to highlight the fact that Dining Plus people are misguiding people by promising that they will provide a Dining Plus card free of cost.
Some lady from Dining Plus telephoned my wife on 05th May 12 and informed her that Dining Plus provide a credit card free of cost. And also will give some free gifts. That lady asked my wife to provide ICICI Bank credit number which according to her is required to mention in the registration process. My wife on good faith gave my ICICI credit number to that lady.
To my surprise and shock on 08th May 12, I got a SMS from Dining Plus that they have charged Rs.5499 in my credit card and they will dispatch the Dining Plus card shortly. I talked to their customer care executive and lodged my complaint. I told him to immediately cancel the transaction and treat the whold thing as closed as I do not want their card in view of the cheating they have done. That person informed that the amount can not be refunded.
As you know no amount can be charged without any authorisation/confirmation from the card holder. I immediately informed ICICI bank not to pay any amount to Dining Plus as I have not authorised the transaction.
Inspite of my complaints Dining Plus dispatched the card and I refused to accept the card on 25th May. Again they have sent the card by speedpost inspite of my refusal to accept it.
Now the matter is under investigation by ICICI Bank and they have reversed the fradualent debit.
I am awaiting final intimation from ICICI Bank.
I appeal all the people to be very careful about this sort of people.
