I have purchased spun silk yarn from M/s Starling Silks Pvt. Ltd., Malda- W.B.in Jan'2010.The quantity purchsed was 215 kgs. @ Rs.1110.00 per kg. The silk supplied to me was stated that it is pure silk and so no VAT was charged on it stating as "VAT Exempted Goods". I manufactered carpet from
it and exported it to USA with balance 26 kgs. in my stock, as per the supplier
promise i also declared it as pure silk carpet value Rs.780000.00 . My customer
complained me that it is not pure silk, he checked it at U.S and found it to be blended. I immediatelty sent one hank of pure silk which i was having as
balance to "Indian Institute Of Carpet Technology", Bhadohi for testing, i was completely shocked by the result that it has 30% viscose blend. My buyer is not paying me the single penny and is stating that he will inform Indian government of my fraud.
I have done no fraud and was completely cheated. I had already lost Rs.780000.00, my goodwill and one of my best customers, if indian govenment charges me penalty i would be completely bankurpt.
The representative of M/s Starling Silks Pvt. Ltd. are not talking with me,
the owner Mr. A Rahaman has told me do whateverv i can do when i approached him several times. They have looted me in broad day light and are also not listening anything.
I request all the carpet manufacters that not to buy a single gram of
silk from M/s Starling Silk Mills Pvt. Ltd, Malda. I have already started process
to sue them in court vof law.
Best Regards,
Vikas Gupta
