Wrong deduction of debit card annual fee

Dear sirs/ madam,

while referring to my savings A/C. no. 00061050111901 on net, I came to know that Rs. 500 has been deducted against debit card annual fee on 09.03.11.

I am having my savings account with HDFC bank since last 9 years, as a classic customer.

For classic customer, there is no annual fee for debit card & it is given free of charge for life time.

(1) I don't know, how this amount is deducted from my account?

(2) Is there any change in norms for debit card?

(3) Do you think that I should close my all savings accounts & fixed deposit accounts, just because of debit card charges?

(4) I am a share holder of HDFC bank also, kindly review my case & reverse the entry of Rs. 500

by giving credit to my account.

I hope matter will be taken with same spirit of HDFC bank's guide line.

If it is not comfortable, I will close my account with HDFC bank.
