Not allowed to Deposit Money in my own account

Hi

I have a salary account with hdfc bank. The home branch of my account is in bangalore. Today i went to Noida sector 63 branch to deposit some cash in my account. They denid the service by saying that RBI doesnt allow to deposit cash in salary account. Same day one of my friend deposit cash in his salary account in Kotak Mahindra bank. is the rule of RBI only for HDFC BANK. Why the are doing these things repetidily.?? why they are not providing any service to a salary account holder whose home branch is in some other state??
