Financial charges in HDFC Credit card

Dear Sir,

I am a credit card holder with HDFC Bank. For the past 3 months I have been receiving statement in which in the name of "Financial Charges" they have been deducting Rs.769.85 as per (08/01), Rs.548.29 as per (08/12), Rs.394.51 Rs.29.05 as per (08/11), Rs.358.13 as per (08/10). When I asked their customer care about this they reversed Rs.358.13 on 02/11. Now again I asked them why they are repeatatively been charging some amount they say its as per their policy, go and read the documents in welcome kit. I simply asked them one question, why u r providing 2 amounts in the statement and as well in the payment gateway (i.e.), Minimum amount due for each month and the Total dues. As a customer, what will we do that I am supposed to pay only the minmum amount due pertaining to this month. Bcoz nowhere in the statement it is mentioned that minimum amount due is going to attract "financial charges". Moreover, the customer executive to whom we ask abt this, they say based on the capacity we have fixed these amounts. This is like adding salt on one' fresh wound. I dont know on what basis these people are adjudging the capacity of the customer and for illiterate people to understand. I dont know which bank gives credit card to illiterate. If they are doing so, then their entire motive is to swindel the money of the customer. Added to this, they say that this is RBI' policy. This shows that there is no corporate social responsibility in the bank. I want a clarification on this and compensation for the way in which these people treat the customers. I wish RBI and consumer forum looks into this matter seriously as this is not only my concern, its is a huge concern for all the people in the country. Not many people are aware of this credit card and its various cycles, though literate or illiterate. These sort of hidden financial behaviour and the attitude has brought USA down in 2008. My sincere request to RBI and the consumer forum of India is to take this matter and act on this seriously.
