I Have a Saving bank account with HDFC a/c no. is 0054150045783 . The account was opened with zero balance On 31st october & 31st December, my account was debited by bank by Rs. 825 penalty for not maintaining average balance. I am running the account for last 10 years, this problem was arose. When contacted to bank, they said that my account have been converted into saving account by sending an email. Can A Bank do so? Is Email be treated full source of communication in financial matters? Should Bank send a registered letter before doing so?
