Sub:- Gruesome malpractices at BSLI branch offices.

I Sandeep Jain would like to draw your kind attention of BSLI management towards large scale fraud happening at BSLI Dwarka-New Delhi branch involving nexus of BDMs and Insurance advisors under very much nose of Branch Managers.

I happen to visit branch in last week of June to pay premium for my 3 year old policy. Mr Sanjay (BDM) and Mr V K Jain (Insurance advisor code- AP3256) met me at branch and offered my wife to be Insurance advisor role by just paying Rs 750 . She promptly applied for same as this was sounding good business proposition. Wile talking to Mr Sanjay and Mr Jain we realized that they also arrange for proxy trainings and examinations and for these services they only charge Rs 1000. We declined their offer for shortcut and decided to test out caliber ourselves.

We were promised temporary advisor number and visiting cards within 48 hrs.to start our business. The very next day Mr Sanjay and Mr Jain paid visit at our residence congratulating on being new Insurance advisors to our surprise without reading any literature or attending any training of any sort. They convinced us to start our business with 2 policies from our own family. I decided to have my Father and My mother enrolled under policy Freedom58. I issued 2 cheques for Rs 15000 each. I was promised that these policies will be under my wife’s advisory number.

I eagerly waited for a week to get my advisory code or acknowledgement receipt for new policies. Both these gentleman kept me giving false commitments on advisory codes. In the meantime they kept me calling for new leads and contacts. To my surprise I came to know that they managed to encash one of my cheque even before y advisory code was issued. I immediately stopped my second cheque to further control the damage.

I immediately called to check with Mr Sanjay on blunder happened. To my surprise he offered me a settlement option where he will get one policy booked under our advisory number to settle account for which I refused and decided to cancel policy and end advisory role also. He took the policy papers the day I got them in last week of August with commitment of 100% refund.

This was my last contact with him. As per Mrs Jain, BDM Mr Sanjay has left job and now no one can get me my 100% refund for policy which was missold.

I also got to know that this modus operendi is running for last 1 year from same branch. Also to my shock the said policy was booked under Mr Jain’s advisory code.

I seek few answers from BSLI :-

• How BSLI manages to enroll insurance advisors without any trainings and exams?

• Is BSLI aware that at IMT manesar center proxies are available at Rs 1000 to clear IRDA exam?

• Why a policy booked on 31st July reaches customer on 25th Aug and if cancelled on 11th Sep is still treated out of time frame?

• What will be the role of Insurance Ombudsmen in getting my hard earned money back?

• Are not branch managers not aware what is happening under their nose?
