I had made a request for cheque on September 1st 2010. Till today (17/9) i haven't recieved the cheque book after continous followup with the phone banking and visiting personally to the branch there is no update. I suggest not to open any new accounts with HDFC Bank as it is a poor service provider compared to other banks in India.
After raising a complaint and forwarding the issue to the Greivance cell with HDFC bank there is no update. If this is the case for cheque book suppose something has happened in your account then we is responsible. I suggest RBI to take serious action on not resolving the customer issues in certain time period to charge the Banks for penality for RBI and give certain response to the RBI or GOI.
