Charged Interest even I dropped cheque before due date

My Due date was 5 July but I had dropped the cheque on 3rd July since 5th July was holiday (Bharat Band) they have not considered my cheque and not processed it and later debited the same account from savings account on 6th July for which they have charged my heavy.

I called the customer care and they have not helped me!!
