Blocking Online Banking

I am ICICI bank customer for 5-6 years. I always use online banking to transfer money to my family, pay EMI and for lot more things. ICICI bank has brought new policy according to which I am blocked from online banking because I do not have mobile.

They say I need to have mobile if I want to use internet banking. ICICI Bank is discriminating people. If someone who has hearing problem and can not use mobile due to this is not allowed to use internet service. Person will be already facing lot of problem in his/her job, social life, personal life due to this. ICICI Bank want them to come to the branch for every activity.

There may be many people in the country who can not pay for mobile phone and bills. They are also blocked with this policy. I am out of country for 10-12 months and dont want to have have mobile on international roaming and do not want to disclose financials to anyone else. There is no way to use internet banking now.

I have met many senior citizen who dont want to carry mobile phone for social reasons. They dont need mobile service and they are happy without it. May of them may not be in position to walk. ICICI Bank is forcing all these people to come to their branch for every thing.
