Sir/Madam,
This is to lodge a complaint against ICICI Bank Credit Card Department who has illegally put the amount in my savings account on lien for credit card outstanding. There was absolutely no communication (via email, phone call and hard copy letter).
Due to this I have cheque bounces on my account. When I enquired about this they talked very arrongantly and said that they have authority to do whatever they want on our savings bank.
I have 1 credit cards from ICICI against which ICICI are showing a balance of Rs 28, 860.43
I have been making the regular monthly payments.
Credit Card No. 477474326661009- Limit- Rs0/-
Payment details are as below.
24-04 13, 415.00
25-06 5, 000.00
07-07 1, 500.00
06-08 1, 400.00
08-09 1, 410.00
14-10 1, 420.00
17-11 1, 430.00
19-12 1, 500.00
These above payments have been made only towards the interest amount, which the bank has recovered.
This month payment is pending and due date is 20-01. I went to ICICI bank today for this credit card payment, and found they have put a lien on my savings account.
As mentioned above, this has illegally put the amount in my savings account on lien for credit card outstanding. There was absolutely no communication (via email, phone call and hard copy letter).
I was not at all contacted either by Credit Card Dept or Recovery Dept. They are insisting that only after I make a payment of 2-, they will release the lien.
ICICI Bank Savings Account is my salary account and it is connected for ECS for my personal Loan Accounts. Because of this all my cheques are bouncing.
Particularly look for answers to the following queries from my side:
1. Why wasn't I contacted about details regarding the case, during the case investigations at all?
2. Why was I not informed about the one sided decision taken by the bank?

Please remove the lien on my saving's account at the earliest.
I request you to please contact ICICI bank and remove lien on my savings account.
