I had invested in Janapriya Fin.& Ind. Inv (I) Ltd having Regd. Office at 113, Park Street, Calcutta through its Pathankot branch in the name of my son and daughter which matured for payment in 1990. The company closed its operations in the District and absconded. The company even ignored the orders of the Consumer forum to pay the maturity amount with interest @ 12% togather with penalty to its investers. In the year 1990, the company Regd. Offfice sent me the discharge vouchers to sign across the revenue stamps and return to the company for processing the claim and amount of payment. All the documents were despatched to the company under registered cover but no payment has been made to me so far. My various reminders and even the personal visit to the Regd. Office has failed to bring out any result so far. It is difficult to understand how Reserve Bank Of India and the Government allow and issue licences to such companies to carry on such banking business in India. Both are equally responsible for any loss to the depositors. The depossit certificate numbers are 62/5150 and 62/5151 in the name of Keshav Saini and Poonam Saini respectively. I request you to please lend me your helping hand in recovering me hard earned income from the cheating company.
Thanks.
regards,
Hira Lal Saini
