Sir/Madam,
I want to bring the following to your kind notice :
1. That I raised a loan of Rs 3, 00, 000 for purchase of a plot in 2004 and I made the full repayment of my
2. outstanding loan on 29/4 vide receipt No. A-0013723. An amount of Rs 233593 was paid by me on the date.
3. It also to inform that my LIC money back policy (No. 230-591048) was also mortgaged under my loan account No. 2670024. I was told that the money received from the mortgaged LIC policy can be adjusted against the loan payment (principal).
4. An amount of Rs 30, 000 was received by LICHFL vide cheque No. 0917974 (AXIS Bank) dated 15/1 from LIC India, Jhansi on account of my mortgaged policy. The amount received by LICHFL was neither adjusted nor refunded to me.
5. The LICHFL claims that they have refunded the amount on 7/3 but this was never received by me. I request the LICHFL to provide that details of the cheque issued to me, proof of sending the cheque by speed post/courier, proof of receipt of cheque by me and clearance of the cheque from their account but they are not able to provide any such details. Rather, they are adopting dilatory tactics.
6. I have already submitted my application (hard copy) to the Manager (Operation) LICHFL, SAS House, Sapru Marg, Lucknow on 14/5 but no action has been taken till date.
I request the concerned authorities to kindly look into the matter and take necessary action for refund of Rs 30, 000 along with interest as I have suffered the financial loss due to lapse on the part of LICHFL. Had the amount been adjusted against any of my loan amount, I would have got the benefit during last more than two years.
