Agarwal Builder Vasai WEst
Standard Charter Bank

I have one old pending issue of Standard Charter Bank credit card. This is pertaining to one of the transaction in year 2010 December month. I have not got the transaction clearance and I am charged for that particular transaction. I tried to book tkt for Nagpur from Mumbai for morning Indian airlines flight at Mumbai airport. I was told by airlines that my transaction was failed due to some error. I did not go to Nagpur by flight that day. Post one month I notice that said transaction amount charge was reflecting in my credit card Statement of Account. I denied paying charges and demanded bank to produce my signature copy of the transaction done.

Bank did not bothered to do follow-up with Airlines Company but started harassing me through their collection agent. The drama continued till 2 to 3 years.

Now when I went for some of personal loan I came to know my name is there in CIBIL and there is some 2 ro 3 lacs od on my name.

Please guide how can a user protect him self by not paying faulty transaction due to system.?

Today I have 3 other banks credit cards and for past more then 7 to 8 years I am using them my record with them is crystal clear.

I have done more then 12 to 15 lacs Transaction with other 3 bank accounts.

Why should my name come in cibil for Bank employee negligence to do follow-up from there end on a particular transaction?

Why a consumer should do follow up with different parties for any faulty transaction?

And if I am legally wrong then why Bank is not putting legal case against me?

Why cases like mine should prolonged for 10, 20 30 years?

I am ready to pay complete 2 to 3 lacs or what ever amount may be if Bank proves that I have done said Transaction and consume services against the transaction
