I would like to introduce myself as S.Prem Shanth. I have an airtel connection (Chennai) with the no 9840512546. Yesterday, I called a airtel no (9840500481), which had a hello tune.By mistake I pressed * button and the hello tunes got activated in my mobile and I was charged Rs 15. When I asked the customer care to change back to my old hello tune they say that you will be charged additional Rs 15.
But in The Hindu paper (chennai-metro plus) dated 25th there was an article in which, as per the TRAI rules the procedure is
1. The subscriber has to press * and 9
2. Get a confirmation sms
3. again press * and 9.
But mine got activated just by pressed * and I didn’t get a proper response from the customer and they say that you will be charged as soon as you press *.
