Dear Sir, With due regards I would like to bring to your notice that I have been a policy holder of LIC India for some years. I have several policies in your organisation. However quite recently when i was asked by the agent to take another 2 policies which he promised together would amount to a Crore rupees i was happy to hear of such apolicy and took it up. The policy numbers are LIC MARKET PLUS POLICY NUMBR 456491658 and LIC NEW BIMA GOLD POLICY 456494980. For both thes policies I am paying quarterly and that is of rs 10725 and 16250 quarterly. It was a big amount for me but thinking that what the agent said was true because he showed me some powerpoint presentations and confirmed that I would get 1 crore after 20 years. Because I am working outside India I was not able to check the policy details because they were sent much later after I had left the country... It was sent in my home address. When I came back to India I went to the LIC OFfice in Siliguri Branch and spoke to the LIC staff. They all confirmed that the information given to me was alie and that there is no such policy thatr confirms of receiving that amount! I was shocked and felt very upset because that was an investment for my future. I am single not married and noone to look after me. It was a shelter for my old age! Buit the information given to me was all FALSE! I approached the Branch Manager Mr. Arup Kumar Das and told him albout his agent Mr. Kaushik Nandy Agent and that i was given false information and duped by him. He assured that he will speak to him and that the agent would get back to me. I waited for 10 days but herad nothing from him. i again went to him and then he started accusing me of beleving the agent and that he cannot do anything about it. He was very rude and then said I can go anywhere even to the Prime minister and then said i can GO TO HELL! this was his behaviour towards me! This kind of behaviour is not acceptable and I think it was a very bad way of treating a customer! Again while checking the other policies I found he had said I would get 3 laks after giving apremium of 1 lakh after 5 yeras. I have done several policies again I was given wrong information on those too. I would get only rs. 1 lakh and 49 thousand! The policy numbers are 456468205, 456468204, 456467942, 456465873these are Jeevan Nischay policies. this was all done giving wrong information and i had invested atotal of 3 lakhs and 10 thousand on the same! I need to understand a few things : 1. Is this norm of LIC Agents to dupe the customers giving wrong information? 2. When I am single and have noone to inherit after my death I was still given risk covers for all these policies when I had each time said thta I do not need risk cover as I am teacher I do not have arisky job and noone to claim incase of death... the gaent still put in this and gave me policies which are high risk covering and I have been made to pay extra preium on them? Why? 3. The Behaviour of the Branch manager himself is so rude and insulting saying things like "go to hell" is that that the way your mangers are trained? is that the reason you have branch managers? The agents number is 05266453 and he is from LIC Sevoke road Siliguri Divisional office 453.
