Billing issue

Hi,

I have issue with AMEX card bill which is charged in AMEX card from Bastion Hotel in Almere, Netherland. In Baiston hotel I paid my bill in cash 942.50 Euro but 1 day before my check in date Baiston hotel deducted 500 Euro from AMEX card without my knowledge. I that case 500 Euro paid 2 times i paid in cash and 1 day before they deducted automatically. It's not correct and in that case why i should pay again to AMEX because without any signed receipt how any merchant can deduct. Please tell me what i should do now?
