I have been holding a savings account with Andhra Bank, Tirupur branch for nearly 10 years.

On 04.05.09 I tried to withdraw cash of Rs.11, 000.00 with Andhra Bank ATM (outside the branch), but was rejected. Hence I tried to split and take this amount. Hence withdrew Rs.5000.00 first. Again I tried for withdrawing Rs.5000.00 immediately, The transaction processed but the amount did not come. During this time the security was also present at the scene.

Immediately I contacted bank staff and informed about this. He assured that if the amount will be credited automatically, but it was not done immediately.

On repeated mails and visits to the bank, this amount of Rs.5000 was credited into my account on 27.08.2009.

As per RBI's notification, this amount should have been credited within 12 days, but it took more than 114 days and as per RBI notification this particular bank has to pay Rs.100 per day as compensation and i have been mailing to Andhra Bank frequently, but till date no response. Can anyone guide me???
