FEDEX DELIVERY AND WRONG INFOMATION

Sub: Complaint regarding shipment Ref No.465 209 580 815 .

I write to you the following matter as per advise of Mr de la Manche, Manager customer relation France,

regarding a shipment sent by us to Paris - France: ref 465 209 580 815 .

In the begining of december I had to send for my customer M/s Châles du Monde, in France a shipment to be delivered by them to their client, which is a, famous fashion house of Paris called "ARNYS". This fashion house is very prestigious and has in turn their clients who are prime ministers and kings of the world. The shipment was very important and had to be delivered before christmas.

Knowing that Fedex was a professional company who kept their committments of time delivery I asked my courier company if there would be any problem for the goods to reach on time ie before christmas. The company informed me that Delhi custom were changing their computer program and the result was a big mess at the customs for the goods to be processed on time. It was also news in Indian newspapers regarding the same matter. I immediately informed my client Mr. Jeanpierre Blandin regarding this matter.

Mr Blandin, manager of this company M/s chales du monde, called, your office in Paris, asking them the correctness of this information he got from me He talked to an assistant of Mr de la manche, who after making a simmulation on her computer, told him that there was no problem for the goods coming from Delhi., and the goods should be delivered in the normal time of 4 days. He also told Mr. Blandin that should not be worried at all.

So we gave on the 2nd of december the shipment to Fedex. Some days what was expected in Delhi happened, the company called Gina and company who is handling all your goods for customs etc did not respond to our request and was completely blocked. from us here in india happen and the cie you have charged to look after the goods to go throw the customs was completely inaccessible. I asked my agent to get back the goods from the customs, but for many days your cie Fedex was not even answering the phone, even Mr de la manche from france was having problem to get in touch with you throw the internal fedex connection.

Every day like me, Mr Blandin from france was calling Fedex and the same answer was, there is no problem your goods should arrive very soon, but on your web nothing was updated.

During all that time the customer of my client, ARNYS, informed my client Châles du monde that the goods were too late to be sold for Christmas time and would now refuse the delivery. My client lost 12 000€ .

Mr BLANDIN on the 9th of décember, speaking every day with Fedex with your inquiring pool, called at 4PM, (the fedex staff based in Marocco), told him that it will be delivered today before noon. Now totally fed up of all this, he insisted to speak to a manager in Paris and after waiting for a long time, he got finaly on line Mr DE LA MANCHE . After hearing this story this gentleman, Mr dela manche informed him that he was aware of the delhi problem since the 28 th of novembre and he had informed all his staff about it.

There for we were taken as hostages and for a ride since the begenning of december with wrong information, we were also not able to get back our goods, your people did not answer our calls, the goods were not going yet throw customs and it was absolutly legal for us to get them back.

Since the begenning when the assistant of Mr dela manche Mrs. Veronique, gave that wrong information to Mr Blandin, he trusted her and also fedex being an international professional company., and because of that we have lost 12000 Euros.,

I now request officially that an amount of 12000 € be paid to us as compensation as we have incurred not only financial loss but also loss to our reputation as a reliable company, due to the unprofesssional behaviour of Fedex who made mistakes after mistakes and told us lies after lies coupled with the ongoing problem of late delivery and loss of face;

Mr Blandin has made already a made a claim on Fedex in France through Mr.De la manche who informed him that a similar complaint should be filed here in India.

Please be cautioned that if nothing is done in the matter we are free to take legal action and you shall be solely responsible for all the costs, risks and consequences, and will have a very bad effect on the good reputation of Fedex known as a professional multinational company, It would also have effect on relationship with all 'Dalmia' companies in India and operating abroad.

I wish you will have a positive attitude in trying to solve this matter as it has not only jeopardised my reputation with Mr. Blandin but also with the ultimate client 'Arnys' of Paris, France.
