On 9/10 I received a text message on my cell phone stating: “I’m Bar Ortiz, I got your numbers thru Employflorida, Would like to offer you a P-A job with my firm on a part-time basis only. Email your resume at [email protected]” sent from 731-412-0384.
The above phone number is for western Tennessee. There is a RecruitWise company in Oak Ridge, TN but this is not their area code. The above cell number is registered to someone in Savannah, TN.
An online search revealed a job posting on Resume.com with a bogus Jacksonville (Duval County) street address and a phone number with a 904 area code that was registered to a St. Johns county owner.
Since I am cautious by nature, I had emailed the above and requested more information. See attached reply. The address given: 1100 S MISSOURI AVE CLEARWATER 33756 is an apartment complex owned by the Clearwater Housing Authority.
A further search of information (Angel Investment Network) provided in the email reveals SCAM alerts that had been filed. The writing style is the same with some phrases repeated verbatim.
By the questions asked in the email reply to my request for info, one can reasonably assume it is probably for IDENTITY THEFT. It’s against the law to request certain information with regard to hiring.

My recourse is to take my cell number off my resume and in the Employ Florida web site and to report this on scam reporting sites. I don’t think this is a big enough fish to interest the federal agencies who are involved with cyber crime.
