Purchased Two tyres from the dealer of Birla tyres from udhampur, jammu and kashmir three weeks ago. After installation of tyres we just discovered that one of the tyres was defected and we immediately contacted the dealer. At first dealer refused to do anything about it. But after a little pressure he agreed to send the tyre to near by big city (Jammu) to the engineers to check it. They kept the tyre for more than one week and after seeing no response from them i called them back to confirm... and they told us that the tyre cannot be replaced and there is a defect but no manufacturing defect. And the company's engineer is not ready to accept that its a manufacturing defect at all. Its been more than 3 weeks the tyre is lying with them nd they not returned the tyre till date even after the repeated reminders. They are telling us to appeal to the company for the same and then the company may consider to even replace the tyre. Now i have decided to go to the consumer court for this case.
