Loss of items from Parcel

I used the services of FIRST FLIGHT to send 'Rakhi' items, from Bangalore to Beawar (305901). The Consignment Number for which is F16694081 Dated 4/8. I had sent the items in a small carton box. This box was received by the addressee and signed the delivery note. Later, on opening the carton box, they called us saying the box had been previously opened, and then we found out that many Rakhi were missing and the plastic in which they were packed was open.

There was no response from the Customer Service number 080-39444444 of First Flight. I emailed them regarding the incident and they replied back (after a week) that the parcel at the time of delivery was received and signed for. And no remarks were written on the delivery note.

Why would we open the carton box in front of the delivery personnel?

First Flight as a company is cheating us customers by not giving proper service. We have NO CONFIDENCE in using any courier at all. And to make matters worst, the First FLight people are not even bothered to apologise for their mistake.
