I had booked a Skoda Laura from Giriraj Motors, Gurgaon. I wanted my car to be delivered on 29th March (auspicious Navratras time) - on the D-day, I was told car isn’t coming with the required accessories. If this wasn't enough, we got the car keys and as we opened the door, back seat had torn seat, threads were openly hanging around other seats. Their sales staff said they will replace the car - we looked at the only other available unit, it was a similar scene, filthy mats, loose thread work, marks etc. inside the car. No way anyone can say we were looking at a brand new car.
They asked us a week's time to arrange accessories, even after 10 days nothing happened, its when i escalated to their Customer Relation Head, Pooja Shani, she assure she will personally look in this and as usual their were no updates after that. when i threatened to escalate and publish my vows, i again got an assurance that in next 4 days they will complete my work and i will have my car fitted with all the required accessories. I dropped my car early morning on 13th April, late in the night i was told they could only fit music system, parking sensors are still missing as they have yet to receive them. I was again surprised to see that the so called brand new music system had scratches on the panel, remote control was telling a nice story how old and scratchy the system was. The gentleman who was suppose to be their expert in giving demos, didn't know ABC of the systems and kept fiddling for 30 minutes and walked out saying looks like its a different software version than before. they said they will repair my car seats - i don't understand the 'repair work in a brand new car that too on seat'?
even if i drive car for 10 minutes/ 3kms. most of the times, the car takes app 2minutes to cool down the radiator even after switching off the engine, i have serious doubts that either it is a very old model or has lot of defects. Giriraj Sales team is giving one after another false experience and equipments and no one seems to be interested in addressing this.
It was a shocking, disgusting and distasteful – buying a brand new car with torn seats, lose thread work, dirty mats and without accessories. Looks like, they have sold a Lemon to me on the name of Skoda Laura.
