Delay in reaching the station

Yesterday I boarded the Kachiguda Egmore Express at Kurnool at 8.00 am. (travelled in AC III tire - seat nos 9, 10 and 12) Though it reached Perambur at 6.10 am on 18.10.2011 (today), it took more than one and half an hour to reach Egmore station. (the distance between the stations may be around 8 to 10 kms). Finally the train has reached Egmore station at 7.40 am. I feel Egmore Station incharge is not at all taking any interest to clear the lines. The train has halted outer of Egmore for more than 15 minutes. Please think of the passengers, who wants to get at Egmore. Is it required to wait to reach just 10 kms for more than one and half an hour, .

Please try to understand the mentality of the passengers travelling in the morning hours to reach their homes, before proceedings to their work (either offices or schools).
