Fine amount of double the ticket was levied for not carrying the Original ID card (Duplicate was present)
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is Hardik Shah. Our railway agent (Sneahal Shah - Suvidhha Infoserve Pvt Ltd., Ahmedabad) booked tickets for my parents from AHMEDABAD to VIJAYWADA for journey on 9/September on NAVJEEVAN EXPRESS. My Dad was in the main passenger forgotten to carry the Original copy of ID card. Though he didn't have the original copy, he had the duplicate of the Driving License, PAN card etc.
When that TTR (who behaved little rude and arrogant) wanted to check the tickets my dad produced the same and also produced the duplicate of the different ID cards he had. I agree that we should have carried the original ID card. But that TTR behaved rudely and fined Rs.3140.00 (double the actual ticket fare for 2), which is totally insane. I need to know if this is the correct fine amount. I need to know if this is real way to behave with my parents who are totally tried to convince that it was a mistake and will carry it next time. I read in the tickets that even if you don't carry the actual ticket itself you will be fined only Rs.50 per head.
<br /br /The passenger should also carry the Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS) during the train journey failing which a penalty of Rs. 50/- will be charged by the TTE/Conductor Guard. br /br />
I paid Rs.2306.00 for booking the tickets (online) and my parents paid a fine of Rs.3140.00. So totally we have paid up Rs.5446.00. I NEED JUSTICE and I need to be charged only what I should be charged. Also the TTR who has pained my parents and caused mental torture to them should be punished. So I need to escalate this issue, as well as I need my wrongly charged money back.
Thank you,
Hardik Shah
