SUB: Battery failure of HERO MAXI

I, M.H.Dalal purchased HERO MAXI (dated on 13-11) from J, K, Automobile, Bharuch. cell no. 09898064386
Vehicle description is given below.

I am regreat to inform you that because of the technical problem in hero maxi I was put in trouble for so many times. Very first it start with jerks and we have to rolled the vehicles to at least 5-10 mtr by paddle at every stoppage, Many time hero maxi suddenly stops on starting light / horn or by applying a break. I had made a same complain to our dealer in last week of August but because of some festival; he has asked to put vehicle in service latter on. In 1st week of September I have put my vehicle in their service station for 4 days, at last they have informed that one cable was burnt due to mal operation of vehicle (i.e. Operate with low battery or operate with more weight..etc, as cable is burnt because of excess power) and they have replace cable free of cost as it is under warranty but they charge for maintenance. Please not that we are staying in very prestigious township and where the road conditions are very good and maxi will not run for more than 5 Kms/Day (On average)
Within two days of service, the problem was repeated, I have bring it to their notice and agency has asked to bring the vehicle to their office. Due to some personnel reasons we could take the vehicles to their service center till 27/09/10, on checking, service authority say that your battery is over heated due to excessive charging and need replacement, the cost of new battery is @ Rs. 6, 800/ (The warranty period of 180 days is lapsed). When I argue he say that you have charge battery excessively, but we ensure you that once the green light is blow we will cutoff the battery power than how come it happen that is not understood. I asked agency to check the charger condition, withine few minutes I got reply that charger is o.k. Now don’t charge this battery for further period otherwise it will explored.
Such loss of more than 25% of the cost of vehicle within a period of one year of purchase is bad and shameful for the prestigious manufacturing company like you. Kindly instruct your concerned dealer at Bharuch (Gujarat) for replacing the battery and making vehicle on running condition in the interest of company. I hope that to avoid defamation of the company, the above issue will be set right satisfactorily to the purchaser within a period of one week from the receipt of this mail.
From the various complain launch by consumer it seems that we have not purchased a Maxi from a company called “HERO”. I think you need to boost the confidence of consumer otherwise; we will give the correct feed back about your product to your potential customer.
