Honda Accord car
Faulty/ manufacturing Brake assembly

I am an unfortunate customer of yours. I got my car serviced on 19.11.2010 at Auto max Honda vide Inv no 1011395 dated 19.11.2011.

I registered in my complaint that my accord 2.4AT is giving me very strong vibrations as I brake the car at 80-100 km/hr and is making noise.

The service was done and my car has recorded a mileage of just 15324 km uptill the service date. After the service, I was told that all is perfect. But the problem still persists.

On12.12.10, I sent my car again to Honda through my driver and to my shock, I was told that the brake Pad and Disk have to be changed as they have worn off and they are parts that are not covered under warranty.

This car has not done so much of traveling in 2 years of my purchase as it is usually at my home and is used very rarely. Any one could evaluate this with the mileage that the vehicle has traveled. It is not even 567 km/ month on an average.

I have spent a fortune to purchase such an expensive piece of machinery and had gone for Honda considering Technology is the best used in Honda.

What a cheap piece of steel have I bought, in case the brake disk and pad of such an enormous beast go defunct and faulty?

The treatment I have received at auto max Honda over phone is very rude when their service manager tells me that parts under wear tear are not under warranty and they can’t do anything on it. You need to pay 30, 000.00 else it’s your call what you wish to do with this problem.

We can’t do anything.

I am feeling cheated and simply refuse to but this theory after paying up such a huge cost of the car.

Checking on the net, I have found various sites that show Honda manufactured in 2009 have given problems in Us and the UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT

CENTRAL DISTRICT OF California has ruled a judgment against Honda to voluntary replace brake pads on Honda vehicles.

To conclude, I am under firm belief that I have received a faulty mechanism on brake pad and disk and that Honda India through its dealership auto max Honda, mayapuri, New Delhi is getting into malpractice with myself and forcing me to accept the faulty mechanism of brakes into my car and fleece me with my hard earned money.

As well, it is a matter of the risk to my life if I am driving Honda accord with a faulty brake pad and disk.

I demand an immediate replacement of the entire assembly of my Honda accord’s brake mechanism to ensure safety of myself and my property. Since this mechanism can not fail in 15000 km of traveling, I have my reasons just and documented proofs internationally that similar problems have occurred in other Honda accords manufactured worldwide in the the similar period that is 2008.

Should my grievance not be heard and action taken in concrete, I shall be forced to take the legal recourse and approach the consumer forum for redressel.

Awaiting revert and response on my grievance
