Honda - EVM Honda
Regular complaints raised by Honda Unicorn

I have been using Honda Unicorn for 7 months. Unfortunately I have to mail you the regular complaints raised by my vehicle. Earlier I was using other company’s bike, my friends suggested me to use the Honda Unicorn because it is known for its quality, performance and the executive nature of the vehicle. But now I am forced to inform you about the problems and irresponsible service received from the Service centre.

OTHER GENERAL COMPLAINTS

1. While riding the bike, regular stopping on the run of the vehicle (due to the blockage of the carburettor).

2. Right side of the rear tyre of the bike is unusually getting damaged (within 10000 KMs of run).

When I reported this to the EVM Service Centre, they told me to raise a complaint for tyre manufacturer MRF. MRF replied me with a report that, this was not the manufacturing defect, because the unusual damage can’t be on one side.

When I introduced the MRF report at EVM Service Centre, I got a “Non Sense Reply” that this one side damage is due to the Kerala Roads which is slanting to both sides. Due to this the tyre is getting contact to the right side alone and the unusual damage is occurring.

But my front tyre has no problem on this Kerala Roads.

I should say I have to take 12 leaves for the follow ups of this tyre problem, which is not yet rectified.

I think this due to the improper alignment of the Chassis.

LATEST COMPLAINTS

1. Engine Cover fuel leakage and gasket complaint.

2. Chain and Socket Complaint. This has been a regular complaint after the 2nd service on 23/12/10 till 03/02. I went 12 times to the service centre for rectifying the problem of “unwanted sound while riding”. At the initial stage the service persons reversed the chain then they applied grease on the chain (which is not required and only oiling is preferred for the chain) and for this they billed me.

At last they informed me that the chain and sockets are complaint and need to be changed.

These are the regular complaints happening to my vehicle between 10 – 15 thousand KMs of ride.

Now the vehicle is at the service centre and they have billed me nearly Rs. 2000 for the service and replacements.

I am not in position to pay the unnecessary bill. I am totally frustrated and unsatisfied about the service provided by EVM Honda. Please consider this letter to take necessary actions to solve my grievances.

Yours faithfully,

Shaji K K
