Carelessness in repair of a/c leading to it beeing ceased

RE-REPAIR OF MY CAR MARUTI ZEN JH05K 4978 AT PEBCO

MOTORS ADITYAPUR, JAMSHEDPUR, JHARKHAND

DEAR SIR,

WITH GREAT STRESS I HAVE COME TO APPROACH YOU FOR THE REDRESSAL OF MY

GRIEVANCE.

ON 22.9.2009 I GAVE MY ABOVE CAR FOR REPAIR AT THE ABOVE WORKSHOP AS

THE A/C WAS NOT WORKING.SIMULTANEOUSLY I ALSO TOLD THEM TO DO PAID

SERVICING OF THE CAR WHICH WAS DUE.THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR 2 DAYS

WITHOUT GIVING ME ANOTHER CAR.THEY ALSO REFUSED TO DROP THE CAR IN

MY HOUSE 2 KM AWAY.AFTER I TOOK THE CAR & REACHED MY HOUSE AGAIN THE

A/C WAS NOT WORKING.NEXT DAY I TOOK THE CAR AGAIN TO THEM & THEY SAID

THAT THE

COMPRESOR IS NOT WORKING & NEEDS TO BE REPLACED FOR RS 15, 000/-.I

THEREFORE GOT THE COMPRESSOR OPENED AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS NO OIL

THERE.ON QUESTIONING SRI KARAT WHO DID THE JOB, SAID THAT BEFORE GAS

CHARGING HE SAW THAT THE OIL WAS WAS LEAKING FROM THE COMPRESSOR BUT

HE DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO STOP THE LEAKAGE NOR TOLD ME ABOUT IT.HE

THEREAFTER ALLOWED THE COMPRESSOR TO BE RUN.AS A RESULT THE COMPRESSOR

CLUTCH, BEARING ETC WERE ALL CEASED AND BURNT.I BROUGHT IT TO THE NOTICE

OF THE SUPERVISOR SRI.SUDHAKAR AND SRI S.K.SINGH THE WORKS MANAGER.

THE LATTER POINT BLANK REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING EXCEPT CHANGING THE

COMPRESSOR AT A COST OF RS 15, 000/- TO BE PAID BY ME.I THEN TOLD HIM

WHY I SHOULD PAY FOR DAMAGE CAUSED BY THEIR STAFF.IN FACT IT IS CLEAR

THAT HAD SOME ACTION BEEN TAKEN EITHER TO STOP THE LEAKAGE OF OIL OR

AT LEAST I WAS TOLD ABOUT IT (I LEFT MY MOBILE NO WITH THEM) I WOULD

HAVE NEVER RUN THE COMPRESSOR WITHOUT OIL AT ALL.THE WORKS MANAGER THEN

VERY ROUGHLY TOLD ME THAT THE LEAK CANNOT BE STOPPED WITHOUT REPLACING

THE WHOLE COMPRESSOR FOR RS 15, 000/-AS THE COMPRESSOR IS IRREPAIRABLE.

BEING FULLY DISSAPPOINTED I TOLD THAT I SHALL BRING IT TO THE NOTICE

OF HIGHER AUTHORTIES.THEN HE SAID THAT THERE IS NO USE AS THEY WILL

SEND YOUR LETTER TO ME & I WILL EXPLAIN IT BY SOME TECHNICAL WAY LIKE

THE LEAKAGE WAS THERE & DUE TO

COINCIDENCE THE COMPRESSOR WAS BURNT AT THE SAME TIME WHEN IT CAME TO

PEBCO FOR REPAIRS AND

THE SAME LETTER WILL BE FORWARDED TO ME BY YOU.

SIR, FROM THE ABOVE YOU CAN EASILY SEE THAT HAD THE OIL LEAK BEEN

TAKEN CARE OF WHEN IT WAS DETECTED OR AT LEAST TOLD TO ME I WOULD NOT

HAVE ALLOWED TO RUN THE COMPRESSOR DRY & GET THE WHOLE COMRESSOR BURNT.

SIR, I HAVE GREAT FAITH ON MARUTI AND I HAVE BEEN ALTHROUGHOUT A

MARUTI CAR USER, AND GOT MY CAR REPAIRED IN MARUTI SERVICE STATIONS

ONLY.

I HAD NO COMPLAINTS ANY TIME SO FAR.NOW THIS JOLT HAS PUT ME IN UTTER

CONFUSION.

AS I AM A RETIRED PERSON AGED 72 YEARS I COME TO YOU WITH AN URNEST REQUEST

TO REPLACE THE COMPRESSOR FREE OF COST AS IT WAS DAMAGED DUE TO THE

CARELESSNESS OF YOUR STAFF AT THE SERVICE STATION FOR WHICH I SHALL

REMAIN EVER GRATEFUL TO YOU.
