Yesterday I happened to travel from Seawood Station (New Mumbai) to Kalyan. This is my first journey from Vashi to Thane. I took a ticket to Kalyan via Thane. I know that trains are available to Thane from Vashi Station. So first I caught a train to Vashi. I could see a Thane trains waiting on the platform number 3. While changing the platform one ticket examiner Mr. Sunil Nair (badge no 1369) checked my ticket and told me that you are not permitted to come to Vashi Station. According to him I would got down at Sanpada station and catch the Thane train from there. I had argued with him saying that I knew trains are available from Vashi to Thane and I do not know its route. And to catch the Thane train I came to Vashi and I was not aware that it is passing through Sanpada Station. But he then called his superior Mr. D.N. Dhengle (badge no 380) and both of them forced me to pay a fine or Rs. 255/-. According to them I have traveled from Sanpada to Vashi without ticket. I just want to know whether they are right? If they are right please make necessary announcements so that public will be aware of these TTs who are waiting there to trap the people like me.
