Amaron Battery
Unethical Business Practises

So guys when next time you see AMaron Battery adv on TV... think again... I had a full insured under 18 months warranty on the car battery that I bought.

But the truth is, if you call them to complain their representatives will try to push the case till the time your battery is older than 18 months and then they will not exchange it.

Complaints... wht complaints???

Ignore them- that's their motto, ...last long life long &-will only be your hassel and trouble.

I reside in Gurgaon & I have a Amaron car battery which I bought on 2nd Aug. In January0, I started facing problems with the battery.

Initially I thought it could be a starter problem and had the car self tested and check by Qutab Automobiles in Gurgaon. After spending 1500/-, the mechanic told me that the problem is with the battery as one of the cells in the battery is dead.

On Jan 11th I called up your 24hour helpline number. In turn they promised to send someone over to have a look at the battery. Meanwhile I also got my car checked from Apra Automobiles, as I had purchased the battery from them. Apara Automobile also confirmed that the battery had to be replaced.

On the 12th Jan, a person came to look at the battery. He took the battery saying that after checking, if there is a fault, he would immediately replace the battery. He returned next day saying there is nothing wrong with the battery. He only got the battery re-charged, and at this stage the battery was only 15 months old and should have been replaced.

I told the representative that he probably intends to delay my case so till it is 18 months so that I am not eligible for a complete exchange.

Every day since then I have faced problem with this battery. I have had this battery recharged almost every week to keep running.

Recently I visited the Amaron Authorized dealer in Gurgaon. The owner, along with the mechanics, had a look at the battery and this time finally they agreed that there is a fault in the battery. And as I had predicted, now they say that this is the 19th month of the warranty and they can’t do anything about it.

I would like to bring to your notice that the initial complain was made when the battery was 15 month old. I still have the complaint number. Would like to also ask why was the battery not checked properly and why was there no exchange when the company policy states that a customer is entitled for an exchange. Is this a company practice to discourage customers till the time their warranty period expires?
