FARE DISCREPANCY

I HAVE BOOKKED A SL CLASS TICKET FROM MANGALORE TO CHENNAI FOR MY RETURN JOURNEY FOR THE DATE 14.04.2010 BY 2686 CHENNAI EXPRESS ON 07.04.2010.(SR.CTZN)

DUE TO CHANGE IN PLANNING, I REQUESTED MODIFICATION OF JOURNEY BY 6628 WEST COAST EXP, FOR THE JOUNEY DATE OF 13.04.2010.TO MY SURPRISE, I WAS ASKED TO PAT Rs.32/- EXTRA. IT IS MENTIONED THAT THE FARE IS Rs.264/- AND IT INCLUDED SUPERFAST SURCHARGE OF Rs. 20/-. NORMAL RETURN FARE BY THIS TRAIN IS Rs. 244/- ONLY. I REQUEST THE RAILWAYS TO MODIFY THE SOFTWARE, SUCH A WAY THAT THE ACTUAL DIFFERENTAIL FARE IS ENTERED AUTOMATICALLY AND TO AVOID THE EXCESS CHARGING OF PASSENGERS. MY NEW PNR NO.IS 431-6655372. KINDLY LOOK INTO THIS MATTER IMMEDIATELY.IT IS FELT THAT MANUAL SYSTEM WAS MUCH PROVEN IN SUCH CASES. REGARDS.
