The mentioned card clearly states that 'The holder of the said Card shall have a free access to all Indian Railway platform, till it is Valid'.
sir, i had gone to receive a guest of mine traveling by 12801 PURUSHOTTAM exp at 4.40am on 19th morning. On receiving, and while coming out, i was caught by the ticket checking staffs and publically humiliated, and was threatened to be handed over to the GRP, put in Jail and issued a challan.
Sir, myself being a BP patient, this could have had an adverse effect on my health. i remained calm, and tried to explain to the checking authorities that it is clearly mentioned that a platform ticket is not required if i have come to receive or see off a visitor. the harassment continued for well over half hour in all public view and onlookers and i felt myself as a criminal. finally, i had to open my office at 3am in the morning, bring the booklet to them and only then i was let off. i was in pain for real mental torture.
sir, i have my claim against IRCTC/Indian Railways for suitable compensation on the treatment meted out to me, as i believe myself a genuine Citizen of My Country.
