A nano car model Lx was booked by me in Dec through a nano sales camp at Kharagpur, West Bengal. Full amount was paid by cheque by the second week of Jan 11 to KB Motors Kolkata for delivery of the nano by Jan end since the vehicle was required to be presented to my wife on her birthday by 01 Feb 11. The contact person for KB Motors in Kharagpur Mr Muneesh informed that the vehicle would be reaching Kharagpur from Kolkata in two days after payment. Every week false promises were made saying that the vehicle will be reaching the next day. From Jan 11 last week onwards, each day on contact it would be told that the vehicle is reaching today whereas it never came. Then finally on 01 Feb after repeated calls by 2030 in the night after nearly 50 odd telephone calls to the manager of KB Motors in Kolkata and the local contact person a slightly used nano driven 3500 km was handed over to me for the completion of the birthday formalities and promising that the new vehicle would be delivered by the next day morn. The vehicle was handed over in a dirty, unclean and non presentable state. This car was given just to complete the birthday gift presentation formalities on this promise that it would be changed the next morning. After this after repeated calls the people do not answer and when they answer they say it is reaching you today only. This is being told for the last two days. Eventually it is said you can cancel your car and take your money back
I would like to know is this the way a multicrore company like Tata works?
Is this what is called customer satisfaction?
Is this the way to ensure customer satisfaction?
I would like Tata Automobiles to look into the matter and redress my complaint immediately before i approach the Consumer Forum for the same.
